FSLG: The FSLG AGM and Study DayFSLG: The FSLG AGM and Study Day took place on Monday, 16th December 2013 in the Durning Lawrence Library

Programme details are available here.

This year for the Study  Day part of the proceedings we  decided to have a look at the important  area of Francophone Studies. We had an excellent speaker in Professor Bill  Marshall, Director of the Institute of Modern Languages  Research  (IMLR),  who  talked to us on a topic related to Francophone film  (and  updated us on the relaunch of the IMLR).  We  then  adjourned for lunch, after which we  visited the SOAS Library. Our guide was Dominique  Akhoun-Schwarb who is the librarian in charge of the Middle East and Asia but  who  showed us the Library’s holdings relating to Francophone  Africa.
