GSLG Study Day Event and AGM – Book Your Place Now

In partnership with the German Studies Library Group, Dr Stefan Manz, Reader in German at Aston University and his colleagues in the German Department and the University Library are hosting a study day event on 7 November at Aston.

The programme begins at 10.00 am and proceedings are scheduled to end at 4.30 pm.



10.00 - 10.30: Registration and Coffee

10.30 - 16.30: “German at Aston”: a programme of talks and tours; and the GSLG Annual General Meeting (for GSLG members)

16.30 - 17.15: GSLG Committee Meeting [for GSLG committee members only]

Our programme is set to include talks by Dr Stefan Manz, Dr Uwe Schütte, and Richard Hopkins.  The day will cover German at Aston, co-operative activities (the Midlands German Network), W.G. “Max” Sebald, the German electronic music group “Kraftwerk”, tours of Aston University Library, a British Library Research Services Focus Group discussion, and the GSLG AGM.

GSLG or WESLINE members wishing to attend what promises to be a very interesting, varied and entertaining programme should please email the Chair of the GSLG, Dorothea Miehe as soon as possible and no later than 20 October.
